Update Message[]

Difficulty Change[]

  • Optimized the level list. Levels are easier to find now.
  • Improved the level "Cube" by increasing its degree of difficulty to 5 stars.
  • Optimized the visual effects of checkpoints within the levels.

Collectable Item Guide[]

The level has 10 diamonds and there are 10 spaces for Mystery Boxes.

Diamonds[]

  • 1st diamond: It is at 9%. Avoid the Big Jump Neon Box and follow the Flipping Tiles.
  • 2nd diamond: It is at 13%. Do the same steps as the 1st diamond. This is the only way to collect the 1st mystery box.
  • 3rd diamond: It is at 20%. Swipe your finger quickly, or just stay in between the flipping tiles.
  • 4th diamond: It is at 27%. Just avoid the jump pads and obstacles.
  • 5th diamond: It is at 34%. Swipe your finger quickly around the mini octahedrons. This diamond is easy to collect, but getting back on track is very hard. It requires fast swiping after the diamond.
  • 6th diamond: It is at 41%. Jump around the mini octahedrons, like the 5th diamond.
  • 7th diamond: It is at 48%. Do the same as the last 2 diamonds. This is the only way to collect the following diamond.
  • 8th diamond: It is at 49%. Do the same as the last 3 diamonds. This is only collected by getting the 7th diamond.
  • 9th diamond: It is at 60%. Jump around the mini octahedrons.
  • 10th diamond: It is at 63%. Follow the Flipping Tiles. Since the diamond is moving, you can’t know where it will go. It used to be the hardest diamond until World Cup released.

Mystery Boxes[]

  • 1st: It is at 14%. Jump around the mini octahedrons and follow the Movers. This is only collected by getting the 2nd diamond.
  • 2nd: It is at 32%. Do the same as the 1st box, instead more carefully.
  • 3rd: It is at 41%. Do the same as the last 2 boxes.
  • 4th: It is at 54%. Jump quickly around mini octahedrons and move across the moving diagonal tiles.
  • 5th: It is at 58%. Avoid the Big Jump Neon Box and follow the flipping tiles.
  • 6th: It is at 69%. Jump around the mini octahedrons and quickly follow the Arrow Tiles.
  • 7th: It is at 81%. Do the same as the 1st diamond. Again, again.
  • 8th: It is at 88%. Do the same as the last box.
  • 9th: It is at 95%. Continuously jump and follow the diagonal path.
  • 10th: It is at 97%. There are multiple paths to use, but follow a very, close-to-falling diagonal Flipping Tile path and end off with, you guessed it: The same left - middle / right - middle move we do all the time. It used to be the hardest collectible when this level was released. Poker's 3rd crown is now considered to be the hardest.

Strategy[]

  • The basic way has a large difference between the perfect way. The basic way has flipping tiles and diagonal tiles, so its difficulty is medium among 5-star levels. The perfect way has more movers and diagonal tiles, so its difficulty is hard among 5-star levels.
  • You have to move fast to deal with the flipping tiles. On the other hand, you can memorize which way it flips.
  • This level has the third earliest 10th diamond, at 63%.
  • At 81%, you can simply get the mystery box by using the basic way on the right instead of the perfect way on the left.

History[]

  • Before it was released, Cube was originally called Geometry.
    • The name was changed to Cube after Cheetah Mobile said this on Facebook: "Dear gamers, the reason we change the name from "Geometry" to "Cube" is to better describe the features of new level."
  • On March 20, 2017, the level of difficulty for this level was fixed to 5 stars, despite the fact that the Level Menu said that this level's difficulty rating was 4 stars.
  • As of Hoop Dream's update (v1.6.8.1), Cube was changed to a 3-star level. But in the next update (v1.6.8.2), it was changed back to a 5-star level.
  • From September 26, 2019, to March 18, 2020, this level was removed from the level select screen because it was one of the five levels in The 4th Anniversary Event. Players could only play this level in the event. However, the event ended, and this level is back.
  • As of The Sea's update, Cube was placed at the end of the 5-star level list, probably because of the moderately large amount of diagonal tiles, flipping tiles, most obstacle placements, and 1x4 movements in perfect way.
    • However, most users claim that 1UP and World Cup are harder than this level.

Trivia[]

  • This is the fourth level that contains Mystery Boxes. It’s also fourth in a row to contain them.
  • This level is not related to Dynamic Cube, despite the name.
    • However, both levels have similar obstacles, such as Semicircles, Matrix Records, Collasping Boxes and Big Jumps that appear in both levels, similar looking shaped themes, flipping tiles, they require 3 keys to unlock, they're 2 minutes long, and of course, names.
  • Throughout the end of the level, the Gold Ruins theme has lasers that are gold colored. They don't appear in Matrix however.
  • This level introduces flipping tiles, which may or may not move to a different place or split.
  • There are four of the hardest collectibles to collect in this level, which are the 5th diamond, the 10th diamond, the 8th mystery box and the 10th mystery box.
  • This level has the most changes during an update.
  • The teaser (as seen below) is similar to the level cover (as seen above).
  • In the album version, this level's soundtrack is called “Cubes” instead of “Cube”.
  • A part of this level's soundtrack was remixed for Temple Fair's and Eternal Journey's.
    • Coincidentally, they're 2-star bonus levels with theme cameos that require 3 keys to unlock, plus their names consist of 2 words.
  • This level's secondary theme, Gold Ruins, makes a cameo in Eternal Journey.
  • This level’s soundtrack is the first one to be remixed for another level. It was remixed for Matrix.
